My Portfolio
Welcome to my portfolio. The majority of my projects so far are from college assignments, but I also have content I created from earlier in life.
In high school, I was on the competitive cheerleading team Cheer Athletics Panthers, a well-known team in the industry. I started my YouTube channel with the goal of documenting who we are as people, not just Panthers. I wanted to highlight that being on a prominent team doesn't mean we're perfect - we still make mistakes, we still work hard and we still have fun. The Panther vlogs have accumulated over 2 million views. As years went on, I honed my editing skills to capture the beauty of the sport. It was rewarding getting to experiment with different styles and I hope to do this in my career and work closely with athletes to tell their stories. In college, I took several courses that required me to write blog posts. Although I've always enjoyed writing, blogging was new for me. I'm grateful these courses pushed me to extend my writing abilities and encouraged me to do something I probably wouldn't have done on my own.
In electronic communications, we selected a topic and published weekly posts throughout the semester. I chose cheerleading and explored the fundamentals of the sport as well as my own personal experience. You can visit the site to read every post, or just read through some here.
In strategic writing for content creation, I was tasked with writing a "how-to" blog post on a topic of my choice, along with conduct an interview with an expert. The purpose of this assignment was to enhance our search engine optimization and interviewing skills, specifically in the context of writing for algorithms.
